Cry Before Dawn are a Celtic Rock Band from Wexford. They have two double platinum selling albums and fuse modern rock with traditional Irish pipes and whistles to create a lively and exciting live experience.
Looking back, CRY BEFORE DAWN first formed in 1982, and over the years became one of Irelands best loved bands. With various accolades including Irelands Best Newcomer in 1987 and Irelands Best Band in 1989, the band continued to build a strong reputation in Ireland & the UK.
With 2 Platinum Studio Albums in “Crimes of Conscience & Witness for the World” the band fast developed reputation for polished and passionate live performances, reflecting the issues of Ireland of the time in the music.
Following a break of way too many years the band agreed to do a comeback tour in 2011 which coincided with the release of a best of CD, followed by a New Single “Is This what you Waited For” and a new live Album, “Live at the Opera House”.
Following on from the Ireland & UK comeback tour, Cry Before Dawn are back for a Summer 2017 tour of Ireland, appearing at Groove Festival’s Main Stage on Sunday 20th August.
